Not only is Dennis Martire a member of his local Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania union #1058, but he’s also a dedicated employee of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) where he fights daily for the rights of union members.
Martire has been a committed LIUNA member and employee since 1990, beginning with the organization only four years after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He’s risen in the ranks of the organization to now serve — since 2002 — as vice president and regional manager for LIUNA’s mid-Atlantic region.
Part of Dennis Martire’s commitment also includes his leadership and idea sharing among numerous important alliances, board and trusts vital to LIUNA. Martire serves on boards such as the Mid-Atlantic Laborers’ Political League, the Dulles Area Transportation Authority, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Maryland Transportation Funding, the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America and the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board.
