His pivotal role with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) includes ensuring the excellence of LiUNA’s training programs. The training spans a broad spectrum of subjects and specialties, aiding workers in career advancement. Simultaneously, it assures employers that union workers are more efficient and cost-effective than their non-union counterparts.
Dennis Martire resides in Northern Virginia with his family. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Government from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1986. Proudly, he is a member of LiUNA Local #1058 based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dennis’s steady ascent within LiUNA showcases his unwavering commitment and dedication to the union’s large and growing membership. He views it as a personal mission to enhance working conditions and secure well-paying, stable jobs for all laborers. Currently, Dennis oversees LiUNA’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Dennis Martire serves as an advisor on numerous boards and committees. His roles include serving on the American High Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Maryland Transportation Funding, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), and the Dulles Area Transportation Authority. Additionally, Dennis is deeply involved with the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America (LHSFNA). He serves as a Trustee for the Mid-Atlantic Laborers’ Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (MALECET), Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizing Coalition (MAROC), and Chairman of the Performance Management Committee. He also contributes as a Committee Member for the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board and holds a position as a Board Member (PA WIB), among many other commitments.
